Today is international women's day and it should be recognized. Many women have suffered down through history as servants to men when in reality, they carry the brunt of world society obligations.
Religion has been used as an excuse to control, manipulate, and put them in their places which have been a crime in humanity. I hope today that women and men, take this day to remember the progress that has been made in women's advancements in worldwide societies and that ancient text should not be used to suppress them anymore in worldwide civilizations. Especially in the Muslim religion. This is why our forefathers did not want to mix religion with the government in which it does not belong in a democracy.
