The popular narrative has it that, but for the Great Depression, the Nazis would have never gained the foothold that they needed. So in concept, the Great Recession that almost led to a Great Depression was stifled by Obama. Bush brought it on, at that time oil was at $143 a barrel, greed and the raising of oil control and profit. The reason we need renewable sources in which Trump is being puppeteered not go along with to up the price of oil. Fracking and renewables will prevent another recession. Bank regulation would not be needed if it was regulated by the Central Banks from overheating the economy too. So as such, keeping worldwide fascism at bay.
